looks like a form of scale mites Bing, use a paper towel wetted with rubbing alcohol, they will wipe off easily ;) good luck!! :D

are you sure they are critters? Ferns propagate through spores which form on the underside of the leaves...

no, I'm not sure! too late now though. Maybe "next" time I can isolate some and see if they grow! Hetty. if you ever talk to Bobjungle let him know i just potted up yet another batch of Aztec Gold from the plant he sent me many many years ago. It has produced so many offspring; Bings friends has a six foot plant in her living room that has flowers the size of tea saucers, I've NEVER seem a plumeria flower that large before.... it's never been outside in its life....
