Would like to share a couple ideas for re-potting this year (almost that time). First this plastic tub 16"x23" good for mixing your favorite potting soil, can be found at H.D. in tile department. Second this plastic coffee container (39oz.) has a built in handle good for scooping out your soil mix from bagged soil or trash barrel filled with your favorite mix. I thought you ladies might like this, could save those beautiful hands and nails. Some of the guys might like this also. Dave, are you supplying the coffee so I can have an empty container with handle? I use tubs already. I probably have about 5 rotating through various projects ... very handy. Thanks for sharing. Irene

I go one better - I have a plastic wheelbarrow that I mix my soil in..... that way I can take it all over the yard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The coffee can - well I'd have to get one from somewhere else since I don't drink coffee, but that is a great idea.

I have the same mixing tub, unless you came by here and grabbed mine. Sometimes it's a bit small so I break out the wheel barrel also. Works better for large plants and multiple plants being done at once.

Hetty, Mitch, yes for bigger jobs you need bigger tools. The Idea with the tub works well with 1 gallon or baggie potting, wheelbarrow or this J.D garden cart for the bigger jobs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Senor Trojano

You can get three of those tubs at Sam's Club in the food service aisle. That is what I use also.
